Our Origins / Our Mission

 Doughboy Bakery is a military reference to the governing mission at our parent company Rags of Honor and our sister company Veteran Roasters Cup O’ Joe Coffee where we hire at-risk and formerly homeless / unhoused veterans and pay them a living way. 

We chose Doughboy Bakery to pay homage to the ”Doughboy” soldiers of WWI. The term Doughboy widely referred to troops deployed to Europe as part of the European Expeditionary Forces. Why Doughboys? This term referred to the appearance of these infantry soldiers covered in the dust of adobe regions.
